Hey y'all!
I've been inspired by cooking videos lately and decided to make one for fun. Man...oh man...!It was harder than I thought; a lot of planning involves. So I start with the most simple recipe that doesn't require many ingredients. All you need is rice, Kewpie mayonnaise and soy sauce. A colleague gave me this recipe when I was working at a restaurant. We worked long hours every week, sometimes we couldn't even catch a meal on time. So, we eat whatever food that is allowed to grab by employees at the time.
Kewpie mayonnaise is a staple in most Asian household, and certainly in many Japanese restaurants in the United States. It is creamier, smoother and more flavorful than regular mayonnaise. It is so good that some Japanese friends that I know, eat it with steaks. I use it most often to make spicy mayo and Kewpie Rice. Whenever I think I can't spend too much time to eat, I would make a Kewpie rice; or when I just miss it, really!.
Listed below are the most basic recipe; you can add other things too. I recommend something crispy such as bacon, or tempura flakes.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup of warm rice
1 tbs kewpie mayonnaise
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp sesame oil
1 tbs sliced green onions
Direction:
In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Enjoy!
